Sermatec Accelerates Growth in European Market as Multiple Energy Storage Projects Reach Signing Stage

2026-07-09 00:00

Recently, Sermatec, together with its local European partners, has achieved a series of energy storage project cooperation agreements across multiple regions. The concentrated rollout of these multi-country, multi-project collaborations fully demonstrates Sermatec’s continuously growing brand influence and core competitiveness in the European market, laying a solid foundation for further expanding its European energy storage footprint and deepening its presence in the renewable energy sector.

Romania: Multiple Grid-Side Storage Orders Secured, Capturing Market Transformation Opportunities

Recently, Romania has continued to strengthen policy support for the energy storage industry, releasing significant market opportunities. In March 2026, the European Commission officially approved a €150 million state aid scheme from Romania to support the construction of at least 2,174MWh of standalone energy storage projects. In July 2026, Romania further secured €637 million in dedicated energy storage funding from the EU Modernisation Fund.

Leveraging favorable local policies and market momentum, Sermatec has successfully signed multiple grid-side energy storage projects in Romania, with a total capacity exceeding 100MWh. These projects precisely align with the critical transition phase of Romania’s energy storage market, shifting from “supplementary support” to an essential component of the power system.

The projects will deploy SERLATTICE 5MWh containerized energy storage systems, which have already been successfully connected to the grid and operated stably across multiple European countries. Upon completion, these projects will effectively enhance grid flexibility, support renewable energy integration, reduce electricity costs, and further strengthen Sermatec’s strategic position in the Southeast European energy storage market.

Croatia: Dual Breakthrough in Commercial & Industrial and Grid-Scale Energy Storage

Croatia’s energy storage market is currently experiencing strong growth, with both grid-side and commercial & industrial (C&I) applications showing significant development potential. According to industry research, Croatia’s potential demand for grid-side energy storage could reach 1,620MW. Meanwhile, on the C&I side, demand for cost reduction and operational efficiency continues to grow, further stimulated by the government’s €50 million dedicated energy storage subsidy program, accelerating the adoption of market-based energy storage applications.

Previously, Sermatec successfully delivered multiple batches of EASYCUBE 261kWh all-in-one energy storage cabinets to Croatia, with product reliability and service capabilities gaining market recognition. Recently, the company secured another nearly 70MWh grid-side energy storage project order in Croatia, achieving a significant business breakthrough.

This cooperation not only validates Sermatec’s mature local delivery, operation, maintenance, and service capabilities but also marks the successful expansion of its business from customer-side energy storage applications into the broader and larger-scale grid-level storage market. This further strengthens Sermatec’s competitive advantage in Croatia’s energy storage sector.

Lithuania: Expanding Overseas Energy Storage Presence Through Deepening Baltic Market Development

Driven by the energy transition trends in the Baltic region, Sermatec has successfully signed a 47MWh power-side energy storage project in Lithuania, strategically entering a key growth period for the local energy storage market.

The project further enriches Sermatec’s overseas deployment experience in the Baltic region while continuously enhancing its regional brand influence. The project will utilize the SERLATTICE 5MWh energy storage system, featuring modular design, high integration, rapid deployment, and flexible dispatch capabilities.

These advantages enable the system to meet Lithuania’s power system requirements for flexibility, stability, and efficiency, providing strong support for renewable energy integration and secure grid operation.

Czech Republic: Strengthening C&I Energy Storage Presence with Continued Benchmark Projects

The Czech commercial and industrial energy storage market is entering an early stage of rapid growth. Seizing emerging market opportunities, Sermatec has secured another nearly 3MWh C&I energy storage project in the Czech Republic, further validating its product adaptability and comprehensive localized service capabilities.

The project will deploy Sermatec’s self-developed EASYCUBE 261kWh all-in-one energy storage cabinet. Through diversified business models such as peak-valley electricity price arbitrage and demand charge management, the solution will help customers achieve faster investment returns while delivering stable and attractive economic benefits. The project will also serve as a benchmark case to support future large-scale market expansion.

From policy-driven opportunities to emerging market demands, and from distributed C&I energy storage to large-scale source-grid-side storage, Sermatec is empowering Europe’s energy transition and zero-carbon development through full-scenario, standardized, and highly adaptable energy storage solutions.

Looking ahead, Sermatec will continue to deepen its presence in key European energy storage markets, further enhance its localized product portfolio and service network, and contribute to the global transition toward a greener and low-carbon energy future.
