From June 13 to 15, the 17th International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Conference and Exhibition (SNEC) opened in Shanghai. Sermatec Energy brought its core energy storage series products, new generation energy storage solutions, smart energy operation management system, and new business segment "Green Low-carbon Workstation" to the exhibition, which attracted wide attention from customers, industry colleagues, media and other people from all walks of life.
In an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency, Sermatec Energy Chairman Li Feng pointed out that Sermatec Energy is positioned as a "digital energy operator with energy storage as its core" because energy storage technology plays a key regulatory function in the energy field, serving as the central nervous system for interactive information flow and electric current.
Sermatec Energy hopes to provide better services for power grids and loads around energy storage as a special carrier. Through aggregation, virtual power plants and other forms, Sermatec Energy is a pure technology company, not a superficial energy storage system integrator. At present, Sermatec Energy's core business covers three major application scenarios: power generation, grid, and the industrial and commercial market, which is the most important at present and in the future. Chairman Li Feng revealed that Sermatec Energy will increase its investment in the industrial and commercial market in the future.
When talking about how to achieve the "dual carbon" goals, Chairman Li Feng pointed out that from a macro perspective, there are two main paths: one is to increase the installation and development of clean energy such as photovoltaics and wind power; the other is to deeply promote the transformation of energy consumption habits and energy consumption structure in the whole society. In particular, the industrial and commercial market, as an important area of energy consumption, is the key to achieving the "dual carbon" goals. Chairman Li Feng introduced that Sermatec Energy has been committed to the research and development of VPP technology since 2018 and obtained an aggregator license last year. This year, a company focusing on virtual power plant business was established in Shenzhen. Sermatec Energy, as a distributor of I-REC, participates in the green certificate business. These efforts are aimed at helping industrial and commercial enterprises gradually achieve a transition from low-carbon to zero-carbon.
To achieve this goal, Sermatec Energy has specially established the Smart Energy Operation Division, which aims to provide enterprises with energy conservation, emission reduction, carbon management and other solutions to help enterprises move towards a low-carbon and zero-carbon future.
