Recently, Sermatec has initiated on-site commissioning for two major energy storage projects in Europe— a power-side backup project in Spain and a commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage project in the Czech Republic. The Spain project is designed for power-side backup applications, providing critical support for the stable operation and reliable power output of a local power plant. Meanwhile, the Czech project focuses on power regulation and energy efficiency optimization, delivering stable and intelligent energy storage support for local enterprises.
Spain Power-side Backup Project

Against the backdrop of increasing renewable energy penetration, fluctuations on the generation side and rapid changes in grid dispatch have placed higher demands on power plant responsiveness. This project adopts four SERLATTICE-5MWh liquid-cooled containerized energy storage systems, forming a flexible on-site backup power solution. It is capable of delivering instantaneous power support during generator start-stop events, output fluctuations, and grid dispatch responses, significantly enhancing the plant’s operational flexibility and reliability.
The SERLATTICE-5MWh system features advanced liquid cooling technology, which improves battery cycle life and discharge capacity while reducing auxiliary power consumption through precise thermal management. To meet stringent international safety standards, the system integrates a six-layer safety protection design, including PACK-level fire protection, thermal propagation suppression, and multi-layer fire-resistant insulation. Combined with real-time online health monitoring, it ensures comprehensive safety from hardware to software.
Czech C&I Energy Storage Project

In response to the client’s phased commissioning requirements, Sermatec promptly coordinated technical teams and on-site resources to ensure the smooth launch of the initial sites, while laying solid groundwork for the commissioning of the remaining sites. This phased and dynamically optimized project execution approach not only guarantees current progress but also provides flexibility for subsequent deployment.
The project utilizes 16 units of EASYCUBE-261kWh systems. The product has been rigorously tested for system integration, environmental adaptability, and operational stability. Its built-in Energy Management System (EMS) enables intelligent interaction with the local grid, supporting dynamic optimization of energy usage strategies and helping customers improve energy efficiency. In addition, the modular design facilitates on-site installation and simplifies maintenance, effectively reducing lifecycle operational costs.
Dual-track Advancement, Efficient Service
The simultaneous commissioning of these two projects spans multiple sites across different countries, posing challenges in on-site management and technical coordination. Through close collaboration with local partners, Sermatec ensures smooth coordination and steady project progress at every stage. From the Czech Republic to Spain, Sermatec continues to strengthen its localized project execution capabilities in Europe by delivering solutions that meet regional standards, along with comprehensive services covering delivery, installation, and commissioning.
Looking ahead, Sermatec will remain committed to advancing product innovation and enhancing project service capabilities, delivering more comprehensive and reliable energy storage solutions to the global market.
